In conjunction with Icebreaker, we are thrilled to bring you Ben Lecomte, who swam 350 nautical miles through the Pacific Ocean garbage patch to raise awareness of plastic pollution. Ben and a select few from his supporting Vortex Crew will be hosting events at our West Edmonton & Calgary Stores, December 5th & 6th respectively.

The Vortex Swim

Ben swam up to 8 hours a day through the highest concentration of plastic pollution in the ocean, while collecting data and researching the impact of microplatics in our oceans. Hear him speak of the journey, talk about what they learned, and walk you through this harrowing, yet amazing achievement. We'll have limited beverages and snacks available, as well as door prizes from Icebreaker!
